Around this time of year, every year in Southeastern PA, the Girl Scouts get together to celebrate the greatest season of the year – Cookie Season. I am a proud Girl Scout Troop Leader and this year I decided to try something new. I am combining my love for Girl Scout Cookies with my love for the Crave book series by Tracy Wollf and – with the help of my 11-year-old Girl Scout Junior daughter – imagining what cookie might pair well with the characters.
Before we take a look at the pairings, let’s take a look at the books that inspired it all.

The series is made up of 7 books:
- Crave
- Crush
- Covet
- Court (coming February 1, 2022)
- Charm (coming July 26, 2022)
- Cherish (coming Fall 2022)
- Katmere Academy Insider’s Guide (Kindle only)
The series follows Grace, a high school senior whose parents have recently died. She is sent to live with her uncle and cousin at a remote boarding school called Katmere Academy. From the moment her tiny plane touches down in northern Alaska, strange things start to happen.
Here’s the official Crave book description from Goodreads to wet your whistle:
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.
Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.
OK. Now that you have some background on the series, let’s look closer at the characters and the cookies!
But be warned, if you have not started the series yet, there could be spoilers in these pairings. Proceed with caution!!

Grace = Caramel deLites
Grace has a lot going on in her life. Her parents have died. She has been uprooted from San Diego to northern Alaska. Her cousin is covering her in hot pink everything. And she goes to school with a bunch of smoking hot guys – one of which has really caught her attention. OK, maybe two. It’s complicated.
Caramel deLites also have a lot going on. A crispy cookie topped with caramel, toasted coconut, and fudge stripes, this cookie maybe complicated in flavor but it is simply awesome – just like Grace!

Jaxon = Thin Mints
Dark on the outside. Sweet on the inside. That’s our Jaxon. It’s also a pretty good description of Thin Mints. These crispy chocolate wafers dipped in minty chocolate are a classic that is not to be missed, but could easily be set aside if another, better flavor catches your fancy.

Macy = Lemonades
Lemonades have been described as “refreshingly tangy,” which I think also sounds like Macy. She is filled with pep, happiness, and enthusiasm (most of the time anyway) and can brighten your day just by appearing on the page. Lemonades remind me of summertime and sunshine. Macy is her own kind of sunshine for everyone that knows her.

Mekhi = Shortbreads
Hear me out on this one. You know what you are going to get with a shortbread. It’s right in the title. It’s not a fancy cookie but it is very dependable and always delicious. Mekhi, as the most prominent member of The Order, is also very dependable. He is a great friend and always there when you need him. There are no surprises with Mekhi (at least so far – there are still two books to be released so who knows what could happen!).

Eden = Peanut Butter Sandwiches
Crunchy on the outside. Soft and creamy on the inside. That’s Eden! She may have a tough exterior, but deep down even Eden enjoys putting on a ball gown and going glam for a night, just maybe not in heels.

Toast-Yay! = The Unkillable Beast
This cookie was new last year, so I think it is fitting that we pair it with a relative newcomer to the series: The Unkillable Beast (TUB). We are just getting to know TUB and the jury is out on how he will play into the story. That’s kind of like the Toast-Yays. No one has really had the chance to get to know them, so they aren’t anyone’s favorite – yet. I think if you take the time to get to know this cookie – and The Unkillable Beast – there is a lot that you might like and a lot of story to tell.

Remy = Adventurefuls
This year’s newest taste sensation is Adventurefuls – indulgent brownie-inspired cookies with caramel flavored creme and a hint of sea salt. These cookies are really yummy (we had a preview) and I think they are going to be around for a long time.
Kind of like Remy. He’s another new character to the Crave series, but we know his story has legs. How do we know this? Author Tracy Wolff has already announced a spin-off to the Crave series that will be all about Remy. Personally, I can’t wait to read that, just like I can’t wait to eat some Adventurefuls this cookie season.

Hudson = Peanut Butter Patties
Like his brother Jaxon, Hudson is dark and broody on the outside. But Hudson, like the PB Patty, has layers – only his aren’t chocolate, cookie, and peanut butter. Is he a bad guy? A good guy? Does it really matter because he is so smokin’ hot?
Are you ready to start eating some Girl Scout Cookies? Read the Crave series? Why not do both??
What do you think about these character and cookie pairings?
