Thank you to Turn the Page Tours and Megan Beatie Communications for my copy of Beasts and Beauty: Dangerous Tales by, Soman Chainani. While I received this book for free, all opinions expressed here are my own.
The School for Good and Evil series is a personal favorite of mine. So when I was given the opportunity to read something new from the author, Soman Chainani, I jumped at the chance.
Beasts and Beauty: Dangerous Tales is a set of twelve fairy tale retellings. Some of the fairy tales are common enough that you know them by heart – or at least you think you do. I love how Soman Chainani’s mind works. Somehow, he takes fairy tales that we all know and love and changes them into something that is completely new. Creative and creepy, these are not your average fairy tales just as Chainani is not your average author.
But these fairy tales are not for the faint of heart. Readers beware. Sit back with a cup of tea and get ready to look at these stories through a whole new lens.
I give this book 4 Sips
